Mata Padhai Devi Temple visit

The 40 mins walk to this temple through a thick deodar and pine forest is a mesmerizing experience.

The motifs were from religious and puranic iconography, depicting various versions and postures of 4 armed (chaturbhuj), 8 armed (ashthabhuja) and even 16 armed Kali in garbhgriha, Narsimha (avtar of Vishnu) killing Hrinyakshipu, the father of Prahlad, Bhairon, Shiva and Vasuki Naag, the celestial serpent.

This Temple offers a 360Degree view of the Shimla Town on one side and the entire Mashobra and Naldehra range on the other side. This place is all the more charming at the time of setting sun.
